A Dreamer and a Planner
Growing up in the '90s, my world revolved around colorful craft paper, glittering stickers, and an endless array of pens and markers. This wasn't just a hobby; it was my way of leaving a mark, of telling a story. My guilty pleasure? Planners. Yes, planners. Not just any planners, but the ones I would lovingly salvage from my parents' old stacks, each page a canvas for my imagination. I would spend hours flipping their pages, thinking of ways to reinvent, to add a personal touch.
That’s not all; handmade gifts and letters, meticulously crafted and inspired with heartfelt messages, were my language of love. My mom, recognizing the tenderness in every cut and paste, stored these as precious keepsakes (can you believe they still exist?).
My fascination with planners wasn't just about aesthetics; it was about organizing chaos, about finding a harmonious sequence in the clutter of everyday life. Even as a child, I imagined ways to streamline my thoughts or to declutter mentally. I had a checklist for everything! A remark that my closest friends made is, "It's like you have neatly organized compartments in your brain."
This knack for simplification didn't go unnoticed. Once I entered the workforce, my eye for detail and my liking for clear, concise presentations naturally propelled me toward crafting training manuals. It was as if every step of my journey was meticulously leading me to a point where my passion and my giftings could intertwine.
Friends, the realization that God was gently guiding me toward integrating my innate talents with my passions filled me with indescribable joy. It was a vivid affirmation that the threads of our past are intricately woven into the fabric of our future, each stitch a testament to our unique stories and the love that we wish to share with the world.
Why the Name "Goshen"?
Now, here is where I tend to become super emotional. I guess you can envision a crying meme while you’re at it. Lol.
Well, my journey with the Goshen Planner began when God spoke to me about this concept in early 2022. In a nutshell, it was all about the providence and abundance the land of Goshen experienced, as described in Genesis 47:27. The revelations amazed me, and I knew I had to share them with others. So, I wrote a blog post on my primary site- Made of Still, that went viral and touched the hearts of many.
As you can tell from my deep inspiration, Goshen Planner's digital products are designed to be more than just a tool for organizing your schedule. They are powerful, structured resources that combine practical planning tools with motivational content, all grounded in biblical principles.
